Alright, I’m here to clear everything up. For the past couple of days, word has been going around that Kenny’s new rum that he is creating will be called “Vacation In A Bottle.” Well, it’s not true. We’ve gotten official word from Kenny’s official fan club saying that it has yet to be named. I’ll let you guys read the letter Cheryl wrote:
Hey Gang-
Despite what is being reported, Kenny’s rum has yet to be named! So, please disregard any unconfirmed chatter that you may hear.
Hope that all of you have a Merry Christmas and Safe and Happy New Year!
Cheryl, Kenny, and all of us in the KCOFC organization!
Wow, that is absolutely amazing! I can’t believe his first stadium show for his new tour sold out in only 10 minutes! Go, Kenny!!
Boston is evidently ready for the Sun City Carnival Tour. Tickets for Kenny Chesney’s August 15th concert at Gillette Stadium went on sale at 10:00 AM Saturday morning (December 13th) and by 10:10, all 60,000 seats were sold. Even Chesney was a little surprised by the enthusiasm shown for his fifth consecutive show at the NFL stadium, saying, “It’s a little crazy, especially with the economy the way it is. But I think people know… and what we’ve always been about… is getting the fans away from their problems for a few hours. We can’t necessarily fix what’s wrong, but we can try to make sure that for a few hours, you forget about it.”
Chesney explains that his fans come not just for the music, but for the entire experience, saying, “Growing up, there were acts you just had to see ’cause you knew they were gonna rock. And your friends were gonna be there, and you’d sing all the songs, laugh and high-five each other. It was everything summer was, and I think that’s the experience I was always trying to create for people, ever since I started headlining in the clubs. So, this is the best Christmas present I could have.”
Chesney came in at Number Six on the list of top grossing tours of 2008, across all genres, in spite of playing only 42 dates and charging less for his tickets than most other major headliners.
By performing 14 stadium shows last year, Chesney managed to play to over a million fans for the seventh summer in a row, and continues to be the largest ticket seller of the 21st century.
Many of the songs on Chesney’s live CD Live Those Songs Again were recorded at Gillette Stadium.

I am happy to say that Kenny-Source.com is celebrating it’s very first year online! I’m really, really excited about this! Especially since this is the longest I have ever had a site!! Since we are celebrating our first year online, we got a new layout! It was made by Brian over at Tearful Creations! Thanks so much, Brian! I really appreciate it!
At the moment, you can’t view any of the content. The only things you can view is the homepage, the gallery, and KennyTV. Other than that, you can’t view anything. I have all the rest of the sections under construction. I’m adding new content and changing things on them. All the pages should be up later tomorrow. Anyways, I hope you enjoy the new layout!!
I am absolutely loving the name for Kenny’s 2009 Tour: Sun City Carnival! Check out the article that talks about it more:
Kenny Chesney has named his 2009 tour the Sun City Carnival, according to a publicist for BNA Records. Among the tour stops is an Aug. 15 visit to Gillette Stadium near Boston where he has headlined several all-day concerts that also featured A-level country artists. Other shows include the Apple River Country Splash festival in Somerset, Wis. (June 19), the Stagecoach festival in Indio, Calif. (April 26), the Calgary Stampede in Calgary, Alberta (July 10), the Merritt Mountain Music Festival in Merritt, British Columbia (July 11) and Cheyenne Frontier Days in Cheyenne, Wyo. (July 24-25).
I just got word from a source that Kenny has officially named his tour openers for his first show at Gillette Stadium on August 15th! His tour openers are going to be:
• Sugarland
• Lady Antebellum
• Miranda Lambert
• Montgomery Gentry
I would have posted this earlier, but I didn’t know about it until now! But anyways, vote for Kenny for Billboard’s Top Album of 2008! All you have to do is fill out the form with Kenny’s name, the title of his most recent album (Lucky Old Sun), give any comments you would like to give, and then give your name. And that’s it! Sounds easy, right? Well, then go vote for Kenny!
